Maria Paitchel

First role with HQ - Receptionist, Chicago, USA

Maria’s career with HQ began in 1983 when she joined the OmniOffices team in Chicago as a receptionist. In nursing school at Loyola University at the time, she had intended this to be a temporary summertime position. However, at the end of that summer, Maria had come to admire the company and the business atmosphere there, so she decided to stay at OmniOffices, working part-time between classes and clinical studies. She performed many roles, including switchboard operator, administrative assistant and assistant to the manager. She even played the role of “Office Boy,” better known today as CSA-Facilities.

First role with HQ - Assistant General Manager, California, USA

Connie began her career at HQ Global Workplaces in January 2000 as an Assistant General Manager at the Hamilton Center in Campbell, California. Within three years, she was appointed AGM in the Shoreline center, Mountain View, GM in Pleasanton, mentor to newly hired GMs, and DCGM and Zone Leader in San Francisco. During that time Connie was recognized for maintaining 100 percent office occupancy, placing first for selling the most number of Business Access sales for her ABU in a quarter and placing nineteenth in the company in the first quarter of 2003 for the amount of net natural revenue increased from the previous quarter.

In August 2003 Connie accepted the role as an Administrative Assistant for the Northwest ABU, which gave her an opportunity to view the business from behind the scenes. While in this position she assisted in developing a team member recognition program for her ABU and refined many reporting processes.

She once again assumed the role of GM in May 2004, this time in the North San Jose center. This move gave Connie the ability to do what she loves most about the company — work everyday to help the people who make the business the success that it is: the team members and the clients.

In January 2005 Connie became the DCGM for the Hamilton and Pruneyard centers in Campbell.

She said, "What can I say, except Wow! What a ride! I'm excited to see what's around the bend!"
